Arrive Hanoi
Transfer to your hotel. Evening walk around Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarter.

Hanoi city
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex (the Mausoleum opens on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings only, and is closed for restoration until 2 November 2026), the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and a water puppet show.

Day 3
Ha Long Bay overnight
Drive to the coast and board your cruise. Kayaking, a cave visit and sunset from the top deck. All meals aboard.

Ha Long to Da Nang — Hoi An
Morning tai chi and brunch aboard, disembark, then fly to Da Nang and transfer to Hoi An.

Hoi An

Do Indians need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes — Indian passport holders need a visa for mainland Vietnam, applied for online as an e-visa on evisa.gov.vn, the Vietnam Immigration Department's National e-Visa portal. It allows stays of up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, for a non-refundable government fee of USD 25 or USD 50. The one exception is Phu Quoc: flying directly to the island gives a 30-day visa-free stay there.

Which is the official Vietnam e-visa website?
evisa.gov.vn, the National e-Visa portal run by Vietnam's Immigration Department; sites with similar names are not the government portal. Indian travellers apply online themselves, with no embassy visit, uploading a recent 4x6 cm photo on a white background and the passport data page, then paying the government fee of USD 25 (single entry) or USD 50 (multiple entry) online.

What is Vietnam's Pre-Arrival Information (PAI) form?
It is a free online declaration, filed at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn within three days before entry, that gives you a QR code to show at immigration; it does not replace the visa. It began at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport on 15 April 2026, has been compulsory at Phu Quoc since 1 June 2026, and is being extended to Hanoi's Noi Bai, Da Nang and Cam Ranh.

Are there direct flights from Mumbai to Vietnam?
Yes — Vietnam Airlines flies non-stop from Mumbai about three times a week each to Hanoi, in about 4 hours 45 minutes, and to Ho Chi Minh City, in about 5 hours 25 minutes. Akasa Air has flown Mumbai–Hanoi four times a week since 4 September 2026, and IndiGo adds a daily Mumbai–Hanoi flight from 25 October 2026.
