Is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) mandatory for Indians?
Yes — every foreign national entering Thailand by air, land or sea, including Indian tourists on the visa exemption, must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival. It is free on the official portal, tdac.immigration.go.th, and replaced the paper TM.6 card from 1 May 2025. Transit passengers who do not pass through immigration are exempt.

Do Indian tourists need to show money on arrival in Thailand?
Possibly — Thai immigration may ask visitors, including visa-exempt Indian tourists, to show sufficient funds on arrival, in baht, foreign currency or documents; children under 12 are exempt. Official figures differ: the Tourism Authority of Thailand lists 10,000 baht per person or 20,000 per family, while several Royal Thai embassies quote 20,000 baht per person or 40,000 per family, so the higher figure is the safer one to plan for.
