Do Indians need a visa for Singapore?
Yes — Indian passport holders need a visa for Singapore, applied for in advance: at a Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised visa agent, or online via a strategic partner or local contact in Singapore. The passport must be valid for six months from entry, and ICA advises applying within 30 days before arrival. ICA's processing fee is S$30, non-refundable; applications are usually processed within three working days, not counting the day of submission.

Do Indians need a visa for Malaysia?
No, until 31 December 2026 — Indian passport holders can enter Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, social or transit visits; from 1 January 2027 a visa is needed unless Malaysia extends the waiver. You must submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within three days before arrival, and carry a passport valid for six months, a confirmed return ticket and a hotel booking.

Is the SG Arrival Card mandatory for Indian tourists?
Yes — every Indian tourist must submit the SG Arrival Card, which includes an electronic health declaration, within three days before arriving in Singapore, counting the day of arrival. It is free through ICA's SGAC e-Service or the MyICA Mobile app; commercial sites that charge for it are not affiliated with ICA. The arrival card is not a visa.

Are there direct flights from Mumbai to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur?
Yes — Singapore Airlines, Air India and IndiGo fly non-stop from Mumbai to Singapore Changi, taking about 5½ to 6 hours, and Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air Malaysia fly non-stop from Mumbai to Kuala Lumpur International, taking about 5 to 5½ hours. Exact timings vary by flight and season.

Can you use UPI in Singapore and Malaysia?
