Day 1
Arrive Zurich — Lucerne
Train to Lucerne. Evening walk across the Chapel Bridge and around the old town.

Day 2
Mount Titlis
Up to Engelberg and the Titlis rotating cable car, the cliff walk and the glacier cave. Afternoon lake cruise.

Day 3
Lucerne to Interlaken
Scenic rail across to Interlaken, between the Thun and Brienz lakes. Evening at leisure on the Höheweg.

Day 4
Jungfraujoch
The cogwheel railway up to Europe's highest railway station at 3,454m — the Sphinx observatory, the ice palace and the Aletsch glacier.

Day 5
Interlaken to Zermatt
Train south to the car-free village of Zermatt. Afternoon walking the lanes under the Matterhorn.

Day 6
Gornergrat
The cog railway to Gornergrat for the classic Matterhorn view, then Sunnegga and the Five Lakes walk in summer.

Day 7
Zermatt to Zurich
Return north, with the afternoon free in Zurich — the Bahnhofstrasse and the old town.

Depart Zurich
Transfer to the airport.
